Y: Nice to meet you, too. Mr. Zhong.
I: Now, you probably know that this interview is mostly to test your oral English, so just relax, and let's have a chat, shall we?
Y: It's a pleasure.
I: Let's start with your identification. Please tell me your full name.
Y: My full name is Sihai You.

Y: There are five of us: my grandmother, my parents, an elder sister and me.
I: Do you think you are quite extroverted or introverted?
Y: Well, I always enjoy being with a group of people and chatting with others. But when I come to be reading, I prefer to be all by myself. On the whole, I'm quite outgoing.
I: Why do you want to be a tourist guide?

Y: A toursit guide must be responsible for arranging and ordinating tour activities, and offering service of transportation, accommodations, sighseeing, shopping and entertainment.
I: Have you ever had any actual experience as a toursit guide?
Y: I've had a little experience. I guided a few groups of foreign tourists around Beijing last winter vacation. I showed them to the Great Wall, the Imperial Palace, the Ming Tombs, the Temple of Heaven, and the Summer Palace.
I: Then you may know that it's hard work.
Y: Yes, I know. But I don't mind working hard.
I: Is there anything you want to ask about?
Y: No. I only wish that you could give a define answer to my application as soon as possible. If you fail to accept me, I'll have to securea positon elsewhere.
I: I see. Actually, I can give you a positive answer right here and now: tomorrow I'm going to send a letter of acceptance to your institute. So you can go back to your college with ease.
Y: Thank you, Mr. Zhong, for your kind offer.
I: We'll expect you here next month. See you then.
